DL Disc: An innovative disc for professional hoof care
In close cooperation with professional hoof care specialists; this disc was developed to cut hooves. The DL disc is a disc that will quickly convince you of its effectiveness and will help you save on costs.
The base plate of the DL disc is constructed of aluminum. This enables a quiet operation and comfortable, easy handling. 7 cutting blades constructed of durable hard metal (Widia) ensure a high level of removal and longevity. The blades are factory adjusted to remove quickly and form large chips. This adjustment allows the horn to be removed fast and carefully, without smell, dust or temperature buildup.
Experience values show that 400 and more animals held in open pens can have their hooves cut with one set of blades. The high value is significantly reduced with harder hooves, often found in closed pens.

Pre-requisites for optimal usage:
- The correct usage of a hoof disc demand that the user have good anatomical knowledge of cow hooves. Only the correct usage ensures good results
- For this application a small single hand angle grinder with low revolutions and 750 watts of power is sufficient
- The best effect level is reached at about 10,000 revolutions
Instructions of use
Instructions for Assembly
- Press a centering disc into each reversible cutting blade
- Press both into the slot of the DL disc
- Put in a screw
- Insert screw through hole and cutting blade and fix it with 20 NM
Attention!
- Always follow the safety instrucions of the grinder
- Always wear safety glasses and gloves
- Always fix the claw properly
After first use the blades should be checked and fixed again if neccessary.

The grey replacement blade
The grey blades are made from hardened steel (Widia). They ensure good cutting performance and long lifetime. They can be used 2 sides and can be replaced each. So you can enjoy a long lifetime of the total set.
The Longlife blade
Titanium coated - sharp contantly
The golden blades are the best choice for professionals. Coated with titan the horn flow is optimiesed and the blades will remain sharp for a longer time.
Both blades will fit to both DL discs.
